Picture me in a light

Picture me in a light that you won't forget

like the tick of three

like a canvas you'll never see

For if what I am is who you want,

that alone is enough to have my heart

I write simple, I carry heaps

through my lip that rarely speak

I have become a mellow keep

of shallow reasons and broken dreams

For he who listened

For he who embraced

The scars of the past and embers of old pain

is worth to her more than a summer's first rain
