Sometimes I would look back in time

Just to see how I was before.

A little one, with no brains,

No knowledge.

Or sometimes to see

How I've evolved with time.

From being so scared, timid, and unreal

To being vulnerable, strong

and having the power to accept my real self.

I look back in time,

To cherish some moments,

Some, which I lived alone,

Some, which I lived with a few people.

Just to see, how happy I was

Or perhaps how dejected I was.

I look back in time,

Sometimes, just to realize that

It would never come back,

Those people can,

Those things can,

But those few special minutes,

I can't live them ever again.

Just to realize that now is now,

And that past can't come back to you.

So, at last,

I look back in time,

To learn to stay in the present,

So that I don't have any regrets in the future.
