Person of My Dreams

I was sitting idly on my desk,

Wondering…

“When will God gift me the person

who will understand me unconditionally even

if I hurt him unconsciously,

who will understand me and never

judge me,

who will sacrifice his own happiness

for the sake of my happiness,

who will protect me even if he gets

hurt in the process,

who will stand by my side even in the

darkest times,

who will take care of me,

who will-

“Aditi, come out of your room; dinner is ready.” Mom said

Startled, I turned my head and

when I met her eyes,

I realized “God has gifted me that person before even I was born.”
