I turn away

turn back to me

so I can tell you it’s okay

I feel the same way

but you keep looking at that point above my head

focus on me




why are we still going tooth and nail at it

the gloves came off long ago

but if anger is all I get from you

then that's what I'll take

turn back to me

look at me

I'm right here

see the vulnerability in my eyes

I'm calling for a ceasefire

shields down

I’m naked before you

let our animosities intertwine

show me your fears

let mine blur into yours

look at me now

I'm still here

we haven't lost yet
