I am here to make an announcement.

Now that I have got your attention,

here it goes!

People are placeholders.

Yes!

People are just placeholders!

A mother to give you good food,

a father to be your support system against the big bad world,

a sister to figure your dress of the day,

a brother to have those cute fights,

a cousin to share your secrets with,

a granny to give the warmest hugs,

an aunt to spoil you rot,

an uncle to share the first beer,

a friend to go have coffee,

another one to go clubbing,

a person to wipe your tears,

someone to make you laugh,

someone to give you a red rose,

someone to suggest you books,

a person to introduce new music,

someone to give a new hobby,

someone a call away,

another becoming a long distance buddy...

Oh my god! I can just go on and on and on!

But what I mean to say is,

everyone just has a ‘role to play,’

a box to fit,

a checkbox of purpose to tick!

But then,

then comes that turning point,

when one of them leaves,

when some of them leave.

When suddenly, there will be

a lot of empty spaces,

some crazy voids to be filled!

When you will expect the cafe buddy to become the club buddy,

or when food will be the best but will still leave you wanting more,

when life will become a jigsaw puzzle,

the right pieces nowhere in sight!

That moment my friend!

That is when these words will crawl out of your heart,

those people were never just placeholders....
