Pathological Liar-Pleaser

I’m going numb from all this pain,

All these efforts and love gone in vain.

A garden where vibrant roses of different hues flourished

Is now just a barren land covered with ashes from the fire in which we perished.

I say, “Thank you for the good memories that we made”

While looking back at the echoes of scream that never fade.

I contradict myself, I always do,

But didn’t I swear I’d do anything for you?

I’d suffer from agony while living full of hope,

Let you tie a knot around my throat with your rope.

Drown me in your faithless love for as long as you desire

Because darling for you I’d transcend into a pretty liar -

I’d say that I’m fine

As a response to your soulless gaze at every dine;

Pretend everything is alright

As if I don’t breakdown as soon as you’re out of sight.

I’m a fragile rose in your barren land

Something you can crush with the sleight of your hand

But I love my murderer, so kill me as many times as you want

Because I know at the end, I’ll always be the one that you’ll haunt.
