to love and loathe are both obsessions at the other extreme ends of the poles.

so hate me as much as you once had loved me alone, look into my eyes with disgust as you had once stared at me with full adoration, curse my name under your breath if that is the only way for you to acknowledge my existence.

if my mere presence brings you so much disturbance, does it remind you of the times when I was your only contentment, your touch once burnt with love— now in flames of resentment.

the soul you shattered is still in pieces, so when you hold a piece of me, forgive me for your hands will bleed, that shred of mine corrodes you with my acid and you will be in pain and flinch and discard me away,

again.

and I shall remain in this paradoxical state.
