Paradise Unfound

By Naima Mehaboob

Waiting for paradise

Stuck in a world of lies

Watching as the clocks tick by

Staring as all walk by

Don't even know where to turn

Each word leaving a burn

Too many lessons to learn

Walking too many paths

All leaving me alone

None leading home

Days are colder than night

Chasing a fading light

Fighting with all my might

Faces blur, none so kind

All words echo in my mind

Paradise just a name

Maybe the end of a cruel game
