Paper Flowers

She sings her song,

Looking up at the sky,

The words get lost in the void

Of the vast and endless sky.

She hums her tune,

Hoping it reaches the clouds,

But it is swept away,

Drowned by the silent shrouds.

She keeps humming

Again and again and again,

In the hope that one day they'll find

the ears that fathom her pain.

She stopped singing,

When her words echoed back,

From the empty valley,

Her words lost in the hollow black.

She did not sing again,

And despair hung in her room,

Until the ink called her name,

And pages hummed her tune.

A new seed was sown,

In this valley of Wonders,

Where flowers were made of paper

And ink rains with thunders.
