Pandemic

Wetness of this case might well run deep

Wet waters from that markets does distance creep

Carrying with it the wonders of microbial world

Who wreaked havoc in a time when no missiles hurled

The football stads being made into camps

The Olympics too left in 'cramps'

Infectious 'crits' in worldwide public

11th March lo! A pandemic ....

Locks imposed outside each door

Cadavers in coffins the world saw galore

Colossal trailers turned makeshift morgues

A million body bags , succumbed to a microrogue

While half a circle longitudes away

The colossal nation were making the day

"This nation the traitor, that is a rogue "

Companies diverse, united by one vogue

Vent it out...the psychiatrist said . Ventilate! cried the doc

A country sending faulty kits, in an hour where people choke

The military firms making ventilator , masks

"Miracle drug else retaliation!", the superpower 'asks'

Panthera species, lurking danger spurned some Russian street

Reporter said an Oceania beach was 'bathing' in heat

While lockdown meant economic fall, made a nation wary

"You see, the wearing of masks is rather voluntary"

His feline friend, his archfiend, lay ill at zoo

Tested positive, the curse of man falls bad on the 'sylvan clan'

The swain is thinking at his cage, his bird left to woo

Video calls won't quench his thirst, his feet was feeling for 'shoe'

The nature heels, 'O3' levels waxed, warbles tune to every cord

What the birds had lost in the throng of men, the scientists all accord

The question lies what purpose men handle treasures of Mother Earth

By whom we're born, her jewels adorn, we strive alas, to seek 'such dearth'!!

.... .... ....

One such dream we dream of together

Slumber sweeter than toil , fingers rubbing off rheum

Onus on us to raise the line

As I try to wind up, with my poem....
