Painting The Sky

I want to paint the sky with all I feel,

A burst of colours not just teal.

I want my smile to be the splendid sun,

The rage, a shattering storm one must outrun.

My sadness pouring as dreadful droplets,

The misery so malicious none will forget.

I want to conjure a hurricane of hues,

For if not to confuse why is sky a riveting ruse?

Yet I want to paint the sky with hopes and dreams, Perhaps to keep the volatile world just as it seems. For if no one soars through the sublime sky,

We’ll never colour in the answers to how and why.
