Pain of Bereavement

Death of one's beloved

And pain of the bereaved

Isn't about wreath and mourn

At the deceased's gravestone.

With unexplainable cause,

It brings one's life to a pause

After the unbearable loss.

A moment of disbelief

Turns into lifelong grief

When in place of empathy,

The bereaved gets sympathy.

Emotion under suppression,

Bereaved undergo depression,

Death becomes apprehension

If not given proper attention.

With bereaved's grief borne

Beyond the gravestone,

The only form of solace

Is heartwarming embrace.
