Over to the Seaside Shore

over the shore of the sea

the sun will disappear

under rays of yellow and orange

across the horizon and as far

as the eye can see

the rugged wind pounding:

a reminder, to go to bed

after a hot day under the sun

after the ice cold ice cream

after having sand between your toes

can this be just like every other day?

a day filled with joyful laughter

and a calming sense of peace:

the enjoyment of vacation is over

but will never be forgotten
