Our Taj Mahal

By Sini Jose

Why it is Taj Mahal,

The synonym of love?

Let it be tested with logic and reason

Let we make conclusions, concise and apt.

The Taj Mahal:

A Love, that is

So white, So clear

So calm, So hard.

Like a glass sheet with no heart

Qualifing the test of transparency

But disqualifing itself in the TEST OF MYSTERY.

This  Taj Mahal:

A Love,  that is

So stable, so unchanging

So cold, so frozen

Like the untouched stone in rainfall and wild-fire

Qualifying the test of reason

But disqualifying itself in the the TEST OF EMOTION.

This Taj Mahal:

A Love, that is

So sterilised, so gloomy

So static, so deathful

Like an everlasting sleep with no posible rebirth

Qualifying the test of eternity

But  disqualifying itself in the TEST OF LIFE.

This Taj Mahal:

A Love, that is

So remote, So distant

So evasive, So unreal

Like the never existing fairytale kingdoms

Qualifying the test of the other-worldly,

But disqualifying itself in the TEST OF TRUTH.

Our Taj Mahal:

A love, that is

So rich, so luxurious

So abundant, so prideful

Too much of everything

Like the Self driven charging systems

Of Modern Day computers

Qualifying the test of survival

But disqualifying the TEST OF UNENDING LONGING.

Now we may start

A debate on history

Is it Taj Mahal,

The synonym of Love?
