Our Last Tip Off
By Shreya Ghoshal
Entering of you for the very first time into my hut,
never gave a shake to my sense,
but something was rolling down the gut.
Swayed my heart merrily,
jumping from periwinkle to lily.
It was never strange,
as if navels had known each other since the stretched range.
The moist wind when tickle my cheek,
with a familiar honeyed scent that my soul seek.
Heard something unspoken from that bewitching slit,
It felt somewhat like you squeak.
When rain comes down to pour,
leaving 'me',
'I' went to the place of your.
I don't feel 'me' inside,
'me' is in 'you',
Swear on God, it never lied.
Wanted to touch your hair for the one last time.
To place beside you a chair,
not to sit but to glare,
for the one last time.
Eyes dried of tears,
fingers deprived of touching your hairs.
No ray left to my sky,
all grey...don't know where to fly?
You were the only silver stroke on my dark day,
Without you I might die in this may.
Am blind, as I failed to find,
to find the glint of your eyes, and light of my skies.
The journey of smile to laugh,
sweet and cute, just like a newborn calf.
Never thought this might end up this way,
it was suppose to be a hug,
but before that you didn't stay.
I layed beside you and pray,
come ones back,
just to complete that hug and not to stay.
Where from you take your drink.
from Lake? Ocean? Or the unremembered pot in the brink?
What do you eat?
Love in air? Or nectar juicy and sweet?
Tell me, how would you like to come?
Should I give the address of my dream? Or number of my home?
I am already embellishing the chairs for us,
just need you to adorn the nest.
The vapour is clinging around the mug,
waiting I for as warm as vapour, a hug.
The wrinkled sheets are still not neat,
come soon.., and make my heart beat.
