Orb Of Vast Blue (About Sri Lanka)

By Hiranmayi Anukul

Throughout vast expanse, throughout ye might

Shines a pearl in water with less plight.

In the midst of great men to eye,

There, it still be staying to oblige.

Above the brume, near ray warmth,

Came a bask that turned the norm.

An olive branch that fixated eyes,

To demolish practices of sacrifice.

Aspired teachings nationwide,

Called this droplet by surprise.

Home to many thick and long,

Weld the roots revoke the forms.

Cradled by the sea, treasured by the abode,

This haven of peace sure wonders for more.
