Opsoek

Daar was dalk iets tussen ons

Of niks

Ek droom nog van jou hand in myne

Soos jy aanhou, en aanhou kwetter

Soos ons deur die rooi stof stap – opsoek

Ons lag en praat – jy praat, ek praat, jy rook

As jou mond nie beweeg nie wou ek dit soen – jy sien

Dan rek jou bek – weer

Lagbekkie, leeubekkie, gesiggie, petunia. Namakwa se blomme saam met jou.

Dis hardekwas wêreld dié, maar daar is kleur tussen die klippe en sand – jy sal sien – waar? Man, hier – en daar... gaan jy weer – en ek is

Opsoek

Na wat?

Wat soek jy? Waar is j? Dit moes helder wees, maar ek moet dit maar glo – uit die perd se bek – dalk toe ’n donkie – dat dit is daar – dit was waar

Iets so mooi: bly altyd opsoek

Na petunias, gesiggies, leeubekkies lagbekkies – namakwa se blomme saam met jou

Van: Iemand wat droom om eendag namakwaland se blomme te sien – saam met jou.
