Môreskets

Jou storie se hartklop het gaan staan,

jou wêreld spin in ‘n vals wentelbaan.

Maar liefde gly nie maklik weg,

al is die laaste asemteug ‘n geveg.

Hier by die blink kombuiswasbak,

wil jy stadig inmekaarsak.

Skielik moet jy op die vloer hurk,

want die dood is ‘n rowerskurk.

Dit is ‘n wilde, wrede ruk,

geen hand kan hierdie pyn wegdruk,

omdat een spesiale naam

vir altyd jou hart sal omraam.

Alles lyk abnormaal bekend,

tog is die môreskets geskend.

Niks kan die brose gees beskerm

terwyl die koue aarde kerm.

Al spoed die lewe blindelings voort,

jy weet nou aan wie jy behoort:

Aan jouself, aan God en jou medemens,

wat jou biddend seën met ‘n stille wens.
