Even If

Even if a comet to end the world was travelling the skies

And it looked as beautiful as the bracelet you wear,

I’d choose to look at the comet through the reflection of your eyes

And we’ll be turned to ashes right then and there,

This situationship I’m trapped in confuses me

The dancing sparkle in your eyes which amuses me,

Caught in a web of what might never be

Is this love or just a breeze, is what confuses me,

I can easily fill the wound you left in my heart

But I won’t because it’s the last memory of yours before we fell apart,

Others hugged you while I was hesitant to touch

Afraid that a single embrace would mean too much,

Now you sit as your coffee is colding

And various packets of cigarettes I lit,

I feel the book of our story finally folding

Now with a sigh in wait for its sequel I sit.
