Once upon a Time

Once upon a time,

There was a he.

He who stole my smile,

He who made me realize the beauty of the world,

He who loved me to the world and beyond.

Once upon a time,

There was a he.

He who awaited me,

He who made sure to never miss a chance,

He who embraced me deep within his heart.

And now there he is

A complete stranger, yet a friend,

Who forgot the time we cherished together,

Who forgot me, the memories, the love.

In the end, it was all a once upon a time.

As time passed, the distance grew.

In the end, I realized I had lost him.

All those once upon a times

Came to an end.

I stay awake, shattered,

Revisiting the memories,

For I lost myself in the process.

Once upon a time, it was.

And I thank him

For all those beautiful memories we left behind,

I shall keep them as my vow, never to forget him,

And here, this once upon a time

Comes to an end.
