Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time,

There were stories,

And so did us!

Inside the story,

We can't have a life.

So let’s play our role.

Smile and cry like

The way they want.

But at the moment,

When she puts

Her pen down,

When she rests

Her tongue low,

The story ends.

So do us.

We can't have a life.

We can't share a heart.

Even if I knew this,

Even if I shut it,

I couldn't stop.

I couldn't help

But love you.

You'll never be mine.

I knew at the core.

But there was no use.

It's easy to think.

But hard to act.

As the story moved,

As the days passed,

I began to worry.

My imaginary heart

Started to beat

Louder and deeper.

What can I do?

I hate myself for

Being so helpless.

Only if I could write

My own story,

Only if I could be the

Author of my life,

I could've got to know you.

And to love you.

Your warm smiles,

Which she wrote,

I only can hope that

They were all for me.

While I played my role,

Young prince happily,

Laughing with

Rabbits and parrots,

I was a loner,

I was crestfallen.

I close my eyes,

Broke my heart,

To forget us.

So that I can let you go.

In the end, nothing will matter.

Except for her writing.

How hard is it for me?

To know that

You never existed?

How painful is it for me?

To believe that your smile

And my love was just a story

That will fade away with

Along with a raconteur?

It’s the end of the story.

Her story, your poem

And my love.
