Once a Shore

On a full moon night

I closed the shore alone ,

The cool breeze brushed my face,

My hair flew back

I could feel the sea deeply

So does its tranquility in chaos.

Cold water touched my feet ,

Carried the sand beneath me ,

So did it carry my weight of heart ,

Gently peace filled my heart,

So did reverie of thoughts ,

Memories of me with the sea .

My papa bought an ice cream ,

I licked it along with sea spray,

Then he chased me

I ran to mama , who was capturing the moment.

I hugged her ,

We all came close,

Warmth amidst the cold breeze of sea.

The sea witnesses the joy and warmth

It bought with it.

Once a shore , shared with many

Now a shore , I shared alone .

Once a shore ,I laughed.

Now a shore ,I cried .

Once a shore , moments of joy

Now a shore , in pursuit of peace.
