On Being Lost And Found

Feel lost

In the middle of nowhere

cruising through labyrinth

a wild net of befuddled thoughts,

drenched knee-deep

in the cesspool of second-guessing

echoes that strike crying cords

already shaking, unhinged heart

ready to break.

In the front

mirror beckons - a reflection

a smiling face - powerful, convincing

of a reel portrayal

(tittering albeit in mockery unrestrained)

that camouflages silent grief,

lost Self dwindling,

and though with a trace of a stagger,

walks through the woods

like a gem lost

suffused with self-doubt

incognizant of its own catalytic abilities

still going

carrying ‘human’ hope

a survival instinct.

This is You,

the reflector quips -

Before crawling monsters feed moss

and it builds it's empire

drives you

to crumble from within,

gain momentum

and move like the wind.

Attempt to salvage what remains

of the shattered heart

those broken pieces, carry them

while drunk dancing

to the harmony of earthy tones.

Even if deep it goes

into the closet

and demons dare

dance beside you, croon along

to harmonious scores of life.

That's how seasons bring change

never ceasing, never stagnating.

And in those moments if

a seedling sprouts

and heart beats, louder than ever

albeit frail through trial times

consider the sky cover

an expanse so vast, sheltering you

and opening its heart,

to you

for you.

However hypnagogic

the situation seems,

so entranced, if you then

begin to write, rejoice

when spring comes ringing bells

a little too merry

a little too close

to your delicate heart

sanguine-clad bird

not mired in the past

sheds fears, flies high

revealing behind a self

ready to be written anew

with love

with life

in spring lustre

I am found.
