On A Bus In The Hills

Leaving was no big deal

Having the guts to, was

And not coming back, an even bigger one

Wiping off the fog on the windows

To gaze at the fields that run along the road

The sun rises

The sky changes its tones

Dusky blues to lighter hues

The mountains seem closer to me than you do

As daylight hits,

I feel the sun seep in,

Tips of the mountains highlighted light pink by the first rays that hit ground

Houses seem like little stacked sugar cubes

From here

Firs seem to be thousands of tiny dots on a George Seurat or pointillism painting

With specks of shadows underneath them

Twists, turns and broken roadways,

I believe it to be the beauty of the journey

A story to tell

Just like how I think life is

Twists, turns and beautiful broken roadways

But you know you make it

Even if you get lost in the cracks or along the way

And that's the fun of it
