Oh Soul, Where Do You Go?

Sometimes I wonder, where do we all go,

after forever falls apart.

Not mere ashes, I suppose.

Questions tattooed in my head,

on where goes my soul.

Does it befriend the zephyr,

and swirl and blow?

Or does it enter azure skies,

of which no one knows?

Does it stay far away,

or does it amble freely by its home?

Does my soul become a dandelion,

on which wishes are thrown?

Does it go to someone new,

or is it ardent to the old?

Is it ingested by the sea,

or on the water does it float?

Where will it go? What will it be?

No one knows, no one knows.

Such a beautiful and thoughtful piece—your questions about the soul feel both gentle and powerful, lingering long after reading.
