Oh Darkness, Save Me!

Updated: Jul 21, 2025

Oh darkness, engulf me!

I'm exhausted by the blazing sun–My soul is charred, my heart's bleeding.

I'm tired of the brightness, I'm tired of following the light.

I'm tired of the extremities, I'm tired of speeding.

I'm tired of the endless self-defeating battles, I'm tired of moving.

Instead, let the dusk dawn on me.

Let the dimness of the night sky fall on me like a quilt and let my soul illuminate, by the warmth of the stars.

My legs are now drowsy, my body's collapsing.

Let me escape into a world enhanced by the serenity of silence,

And let me breathe the air of gratitude.

Oh dear Lord, let my heart rejoice under the warmth of the moon,

Oh darkness, please engulf me soon!
