Of Redemption

Dejected by the cruel autumn splashes,

Agonized by the mute melancholic misery,

Iliad of my sour sufferings did breed,

Storms of anguish within my doleful heart.

Yearned the Solace in my oppressed servitude.

Musings of the five withered springs,

Ugly upshots, reverberate in the dark spheres.

Zeitgeist of my boyhood and manhood days;

Aberrations in my stable disposition,

Fetched by that ‘One cruel Nod’.

Forgotten was I, like a nameless being!

Anomaly I became in my own shires,

Razed was I from the beloved memories.

Thinking all the time, I did complain

A lot, of betrayal and treason,

In the realms of love and faith!

You became but a villain of my memoir.

Knowing nothing about those vile guiles;

You were a traitor of my bulldozed realm.

I did construe from the superficial episodes,

Unaware was I, of the programmed deceits.

Five springs passed by and I

Was still in the same stand.

But unexpected to my conscious mind

I came across the startling truth.

As I learnt the unspoken reality

I was shaken and shaken and shaken…

New pain agonized me in my false bruises.

And I realized with lamenting tone;

Dear are You, Still my dear…

Note: When the lover knew the actual cause of the betrayal from his beloved, his heart poured this out.
