Ode to My Self-Love

Sometimes, some emotions –

Like needle in heart,

Aching my bosom,

Engulfs over the;

Dominant lovely-heart.

A sudden metamorphosis,

Another challenge of life;

Creates greatest disharmony,

And sorrow;

Like Trojan War,

Or simple painly-roar.

Me and my black consciousness,

Filled like a lime in sour dough;

Traps whatever I love;

Of myself,about myself.

That’s what I saw.

I, in desperation;

Roam here and there.

Looking for the answers,

And another simple care.

Another desperation of asking others,

Borrowing what’s called –

A caring- love.

But, Alas!

This time I felt isolated to the

Bottom’s core.

Another realisation passed through my mind;

That this was the wrong path,

All along,

Finally I start again,

With myself,

Knowing my soul.

Another transformation;

From butterfly to phoenix,

And now I proclaim,

The true life’s essence,

Comes from –

A beautiful self-love.

This is my Ode.

Ode to My Self-love.
