Ode To My Grandmother

Time never waits for anyone

Time once gone will never come

Like people on a voyage

That ends slowly with age.

We never know but we do feel

Though they are not there, it is like a reel

I feel like calling out so loud to her

Come to me, wake up, I am right here.

I felt like hugging her so tight

Against anything, I am ready to fight

She lay there, in deep slumber

Never to wake, her face glowed like amber.

She always lived, queen in her right

Laid her own rules and showed her might

She was happy till the last of her days

One relief for everyone to face.

She is no more in reality

But lives on in our hearts for eternity.

Her words and fights continue now

In her whole life, not a single foe

Sharp and quick in everything

She lives on, no doubt in that thing.

We loved her then

We love her more now

Grandmother, you will leave me never

You will be there in my heart forever.
