Ode To My Depression

So, would you come with me?

I have a funeral planned. Of my hopes. There it lies down.

See it? No?

Well, I can show. Come.

I have given birth too. Plethora of agony and darkness.

See it? No?

Well, I can show. Come.

There, the uniform sleeps in shroud. There, the despairs drip in mirth. There, the flowers are hideous. There, the thorns are blessed. There, the loves are

banished. There, the dejections are canonized. There, the sun shrinks and fades. There, the darkness is illuminated. See it? No?

Well, I can show. Come.

I creep and cling. To the wall. In the corner. Of this room. Yes. It's a dungeon. I'll let my crumpled hair speak. As the sparks turn into graves in my stoned eyes. As that laughter turns into haunted screams.

As I sit back and eat those unshed black tears.

As I gnaw upon myself.

Bit by bit.

See it? Yes?

That's how my dark days are. Me. You see.

So, would you still come with me?
