Ode to Athena

Oh, the queen of wisdom, 

Was it her fault really?

The horses lead to the phantom 

Memory that withered the lilies.

Her lost shoe was taken by the forces of sea,

Running towards Parthenon, only

aid she seeked.

But you, goddess, didn't have mercy, 

As olive branches choked her, not letting her breathe.

You reduced her to a gorgon with fangs on her head, 

You made her a monstrous being

while her eyes read

The fate that follows every woman

after such dread.

Cause now we're crying the tears, she never got a chance to shed.
