Teacher! Teacher!

Do you recall

The day I came?

I was so small,

Fearful ambience,

Things were so new,

But it felt like home

When the sights reached you.

You gave us the fruit,

Which you had grown,

And now we stand as the strongest tree.

Yet, you still stand beside

To help us through.

Priceless are your efforts,

Which resemble a mother’s love.

You were the Eagle at first, we thought,

Then we saw the hidden dove.

You are like waves, and we the shore,

That’s the reason we need you more.

In your shadow, we never feel alone,

It’s no less a paradise that you have shown.

You are the sun; we are the moon,

You taught us that after Amavasya, Purnima

Will come soon.
