Notion of Love

By Rhea Madhikar

While surroundings did blemish the scene

never had I made an effort to notice apart..

an emotion silenced, yet so unclear

only if we knew of the kindred hearts..

For all what I know were those-

misty rains, drenched thoughts

summer waves and love droughts.

Victory once conquered, felt just a game

once played well, once we failed.

realized world doesn't just sweet talk

holds secrets, hides flaws.

At times it rages, at times beholds

far from seeking resilience, yet I've tried

few unveil the weight they bear, few just hide.

I know for a fact, we have our own views

some walk fine, some lost in labyrinth hues

in shadows we gather, bunch of moods,

echoes of laughter, whispers of youth.

Embracing all the moments we collect,

every scar, reminder of love and neglect.

sensed it was all just a loop,

do good or bad, it comes back to you.

Beautifully reflective and emotionally rich. The imagery flows effortlessly, capturing life’s contrasts with honesty and depth. Each stanza feels thoughtful and relatable, especially the way scars, seasons, and human perspectives intertwine. A calm, mature poem that leaves you introspective.

It feels deep yet calm, and the way you capture different phases of life is beautiful. I got ages to write this kinda shit 😭😭
