Not Lonely But Alone

By Akhila Kommu

Just slouching on a chair and sipping a cup of tea in the balcony, Feeling the touch of steamy weather

Asking the reason for the sky's vexation through its thunders, Letting the azure react with a drizzle of rain on my visage

But its cues didn't seem like that-

Yet I could sense its joy

Staring at the whisper of dry and the silence of blossom leaves; That is how I figured out I'm into April

Blushing while looking at the easy grin of flowers in vibrant colors

Their fragrance clasped me tightly

And appreciating their pristine beauty with my eyes, Leaving my stress to this breezy air

Listening to Jaun Elia's sonnet

Wondering how this canine chased me with her cute paws for 2 cookies (from very far)

Where my heartbeat too followed the rhythm of its beam, And by having the last sip of tea

I realized how seclusion savors when you are alone, not lonely- A life was given initially would be so tranquilizing

Than the life we traded for ourselves...
