No Going Back

By Mehana Agnihotri

A heated glance

We took the chance

Now our bodies move

In a lethal dance

Skin on skin

Hands, lips and teeth

I never knew fire

Could scorch so sweet

Your touch may

burn me alive

But without it?

I can't survive

Your gaze kindles

The heat that aches in me

Melting the restraints

Setting my demons free

I am consumed by you

Your eyes, your caress

The way you make me combust

And complete me

With each thrust

This may not be love

But lust?

Baby we are way past that

Because this is obsession

And after this

There will be no going back

I made my mark on you

And you called me yours

This twisted sense of belonging

Is why kingdoms go to wars

The world can fall

Or go up in flames

But I won't give up the ruin

That comes with screaming your name
