Nightmare

By Bhavya Mohta

In the depths of my dream-filled lore,

Resides a tale that shook me to the core.

Awoken from my inner screams,

I wandered lost in shattered dreams.

Love obscured, but never gone,

In the hazy mist, it lingered on.

Smiling faces brought the pain,

Rekindling memories again and again.

But no more shall these words simply follow,

They cut through redundancy straight to the marrow.

Leaving behind the needless rhymes,

The true essence of emotion now truly shines.

Let's call our loved ones and inquire of their lunch,

Or take them on a walk, or plan a brunch.

Let's reminisce our nostalgic memories,

And cherish the laughter and smiles, forever at ease.
