Nature as a Teacher

By Saswati Priyadarshini

Starting from birth till death,

We chose different ways to learn.

But never thought of that mother,

Towards whom we get drawn.

Rain, heat, cold and breeze,

All was given to us with care.

In return to this she only asks,

Some love and respect of her share.

Gave some mild wounds and peace,

With lessons at the end of all.

So that we could be better beings,

Without sitting depressed and dull.

But we failed like dirty trash,

To give the minimum dedication.

To the most adoring teacher,

Who deserved love and admiration.

So let's join our hands today,

To pledge one thing from heart.

We will keep our environment clean,

And will our Earth without any dirt.
