Natural Disaster

Lightening strikes against the moon lit sky

My safety is shaken

Violent vortices rip apart my heart

It is no longer beating

Blaze of fires fill the fields

Burning away my memories

Winds blow sands across the vast desert lands

The fight is blinding

Earthquakes create a world divide

My foundation falls from beneath me

Landslides take out the mountain sides

I am buried alive

Tsunamis flood the coastal shores

Pulled into the undertow of the forlorn

Blizzards freeze to cease the soul

A hypothermic shell of existence I’ve become

And by some chance should I survive

I beg you please

Let the asteroids fly

Suffocating volcanic plume filled skies

Left for all what’s meant to die

It would be welcoming

Yet in the end should sparks reignite

Allowing a glimpse of love to glow a-bright

Even if for just one more night

It was all meant to be

My natural disaster
