My Thoughts are Just Mine…

I want to express all that is within me

And show the world what I feel and see

I want to set out on a creative spree

Setting all my thoughts and emotions free

I wonder where and how do I start

Should I write a poem or opt for an art

But isn’t art also a poem, and poetry also an art?

As long as everything in there comes from the heart

I start penning down a poem

Oh! The words that materialize are so humdrum

With no sense of any rhyme or rhythm

They leave my poem in a conundrum

I switch the idea, and pick up the paints and a brush

And try to paint my gushing thoughts in a rush

With my dexterity the strokes begin to slush

Ending my canvas in a meaningless mush

I look at my failed attempts and let them be

It is ok if I cannot show the world what I see

I am keeping my thoughts and emotions to me

To experience them to the fullest of my glee
