My Support System

You pulled me from the depths when I was falling,

You gave me the reason to hold on when I was drowning,

You came to me like a light when I was captive to darkness,

You hugged me when I was sad and showered your kindness.

You looked me in the eye to tell the truth when it was bitter,

You punished me when you had to if it was to make me better.

You made me realize what I was losing when I intended to give up,

You held my hand and walked with me when I trembled to get up.

You educated me right and wrong when I failed to recognize.

You smiled and cheered me up when my pain didn’t concise.

When I was shattered into pieces, you brought me back in shape.

When I was tired of this world you were my safe escape.
