My North Star

By Naina Mishra

stars all twinkle and shine,

I also wanted mine.

Any was fine,

Just then I found mine.

The one just for me,

A star brought down for me,

In dark he guides me,

Just not a star but a  North Star.

Never does he sheds tears,

Has no fears,

Acts always strong,

For so long.

Each day passing by,

I fear life's uncertainty,

Want him to stay

For an eternity.

If fades away his shine,

I endup to whine,

The emptiness shall be imperishable,

Because he's irreplaceable

I shall wait for an eternity,

With the uncertainty,

Come back to me,

To embrace me.

Dad is my North Star,

A shining star,

Did you find your's?
