My Mountain
By Ekta Pandey
With bare feet and a heavy soul,
I began the journey to find my heart.
Running into the wind to embrace nothing but butterflies.
With every step and breath I take,
I met the ocean lord by the lake.
His mischievous waves wrapped around me,
Luring me with the illusion of love.
Yet this sweet-sour love met its end,
As the stars drew him to his end.
Again, barefoot and with an empty heart,
I wandered paths to make me whole.
Running into the wind to embrace nothing
But the pieces of me.
The sky, a canvas bold and broad,
Guided my steps to the mountain god.
The mountain, pristine and grand, stood tall,
Urging my weary heart to stall.
As I whispered my despair,
He pulled me closer and embraced me with devotion.
As the stars whispered awake,
Dreading that her touch might whisk him away,
Yet he held me near
As the stars shone clear.
Again, running into the wind to embrace you,
Hoping that you are my mountain,
Not my ocean.

❤️BEAUTIFULLY CRAFTED PIECE OF ART❤️
This poem feels emotional and steady, moving from longing to hope in a beautiful way. I liked how the ocean and mountain were used to show different kinds of love.
Beautiful poem!
