My Mistake

What is heaven without you?

I do not want heaven if you are not there,

Because you have unknowingly become 

The reason for which

I breathe and live.

You have unknowingly become 

The way my heart beats.

You have also unknowingly,

Made me fall in love with you.

However now I am realizing that,

These were only my feelings and not yours.

I loved you with all my heart

But I had forgotten , 

That you may not feel the same. 

I should have been happy 

Watching you from a distance

But my desire to have you closer,

Did not allow that. 

I should have been happy 

Thinking ;

About our future together, 

In my dreams. 

I should have been happy

With our friendship

Instead of thinking of 

Turning it into love. 

But now I have realized

My mistake. 

I am sorry if I have hurt you, 

Because I had forgotten that;

Some relationships are meant to be incomplete.
