My Missing Piece

Updated: 2 days ago

By Abhi Gupta

Each time we touched, our bonds grew, Our bodies came closer, as the sparks flew. Two halves of a whole, two bodies, one soul, Like Yin and Yang, we make each other whole. When you're afar, all I think of is you, my missing piece, out in the blue... So don't stay afar, come back from the blue, You'll see me, and I'll see you. Together again, like the stars and the sea, Bound by a force no one else can see. In your embrace, I find my home, For with you, I am never alone.

Abhi Gupta’s poem is a delicate exploration of love’s magnetic pull, beautifully weaving the themes of unity, longing, and cosmic inevitability. The interplay of opposites—“two halves of a whole” and “like Yin and Yang”—anchors the poem in a timeless duality, evoking the harmonious balance of complementary forces.
