My Impaired Vision

By Priya Kashyap

When I was in dark home in my mom's body, I knew it a day will let me see the world..

I came out kept in mom's lap,

soothing was the moment felt like it was pearled..

Wait,...

Is the world still a dark home, because I could not see the colours in it..

My mom was unaware of my shortcomings..

She smiled always when she takes me in her arms..

Her love and warmth put me in the cushion of emotional and soothing cotton..

But the day came when cleared the dust over the truth of my visual impairment..

She broke all from her heart, how God can be this much partial to her..??

All day she was lost in deep world of thoughts,

I was smiling in her lap at that time..

My impaired eyes were talking to her…

Hey mom! don't be sad you are here always for me..

I will see this world from your eyes..

But when I will grow up people will occupy you like havoc do..

They will poke you, disturb you, console you and will always laugh at you..

But you don't let yourself down,

but whenever the ocean of your patience

get filled till the top..

You are allowed to take me far away from you..

I cannot see you like this anymore..

It's not your fault,it was your love which helped me to be in this world..

it's my turn to set you on a sparkling smile by leaving this world..

But mother is the god of every child..

She led me a fairy life where I was a needy child of love and eyes, she is my wizard..

I grew and learnt the morse code and my life went ahead..

I still love the decision of my mom that she helped me to see the world with her eyes..

A mother always loves her child whether this world denies..
