My Friend in Disguise

As the cherry blossoms bloom
And the sky awaits the gloom,
Time has gone by swiftly
And there's a lot I do await.
A bride of spring amidst the winter groom,
A ray of colour in a mundane room,
The warmth of love not leaving too soon-
The sound of ambience - I do anticipate.
I felt alive yesterday, mind me, just yesterday
The freshness of my beating chest,
Had shared this quality with the breeze.
The heavy mind had then come to rest.
It rested, maybe for a moment
But as soon as the day was a sunken ship
It ceased to be, what it was to my torment.
And yet again I sat there, crying for peace.
It ceased to be the beacon of hope
It ceased to be my yearning trope,
It wasn't just a bundle of ideas;
It was the archer shooting thorns as roses.
And I hope it won't scar my character.
Because I didn't make myself think wise
I was just a fool without a mind
And God placed in me, this friend in disguise.
