My First

Updated: Feb 3

The very FIRST HUM...

Lingers in my heart, echos in my ears

I rewind the first song I crooned, after so many years

I choke thinking, what a day it was,

As i recollect the thunderous applause.

Let me close my eyes and rewind the scene...

So pure and so prestine.

I can vividly remember,

my FIRST DAY at school..

I am asked to say and share something.

So many stares,see I wonder,

A voice cuts the wind and comes as a thunder,

I shudder,I start and soon I fumble,

I Am asked to take my seat.

I walk and i tumble,

I see around with my big black eyes, bewildered probably I weep,

A  gentle soul gets under the desk gives a chuckle, gets a quick peep.

Let me smile a little with a sweet fragrance of nostalgia..

I was struck by his ethereal charm, was lost in my own land of fantasy,

I sang in admiration, i roamed in ecstasy.

He brought me to his enchanting magic world,

so mystical was the FIRST FEELING of love,

That in madness I danced and in happiness I twirled.

let me relive every bit of it, by wearing the pearls of those precious moments around my wrist like a bracelet..

Those numerous topples, the apprehension of trying again,

Was swooshed away by a magical smile which helped me stand and sustain,

I laid my FIRST successful STEP as somebody held me gently and walked me through

The smile which comforted my soul and hands that gave me refuge

Still shields me ceaselessly each following day, each falling night,

HE is the epitome of love, SHE is my guiding light.

Let me,bow down with great pride and immense gratitude.
