My Father My Friend.

By GR Madhukar

You walked like a storm, fierce and tall,

a voice like a thunder, commanding all,

behind that strength, a heart so wide,

a quite kindness and a steady guide.

People feared your gaze, so sharp and bold,

but in their need, your hand they would hold,

you never and ever, turned a soul away,

you gave, you fought and paved the way.

Fate was cruel, it took you away,

scare of our future, which way it would sway,

we stood as kids, lost and afraid,

the world seemed darker and our dreams delayed.

In our blood, you fire still burn,

your will, your love and your strength return.

Father figure well described. For all of us our dads are our heroes & your poem has done 100% just to every trait of a dad…
