My Ephiphany

I write this ode To perhaps some, any being That might be willing to listen Not for the purpose of praising beauty Or singing a ballad of sort But rather to relive this pressure That hangs about me like a cloud For the first time In ever, really Do I truly feel alone I suppose that is the truth That most seek to disguise With cheap labels called friendship Perhaps there may be some honour there But none that I know of Tis' a startling realization That dawns upon you quite suddenly To wake up one day And find yourself Well and truly alone In the end all I can say is This is no ballad nor is it an ode Rather, it is my epiphany
