My Daily Struggle

While life gives lemons to many,

It's hitting me hard with watermelons,

The more I try to raise high,

The more I seem to sink faster than Titanic.

The moment I switch on my laptop,

Hundreds of thought channels play simultaneously on my mental television.

Leading me away from my duties,

As I keep brooding over thousands of possibilities.

I chuckle over the naivety of my inner child.

Trying to catch my attention with a sweet, innocent thought.

Phone calls, salesmen, and other unlimited distractions.

And then it's time to scroll through social media.

Amidst all this chaos, we have forgotten the simple pleasures of life.

The joy of reading a physical book and inhaling its fragrance.

Or indulging in our favourite hobbies,

Trying to find our inner peace and happiness.

Visit a local tourist attraction or an amusement park with our family.

And forge a strong bond of love and trust.

Leave aside the rat race to earn money,

Or buckle under peer pressure to perform well.

With these motivational thoughts, I try to rekindle the spirit of dedication.

Much to my disappointment, my bubble of enthusiasm gets burst every day.

I feel like a toddler trying to learn to walk.

But falls down and gets up again until he gets success.
